-NORFOLK SOUTHERN EARLY YEARS (1988-89), VOL. 1 (from 1-West Productions™): We begin this series with NS in 1988-89, in East-Central IN towns of Muncie, Noell Siding, Mt. Summit, and Richmond, and N. Fairfield and Hamilton, OH. See footage on NS’s New Castle (Ft. Wayne-Cinci.) and Frankfort Dist. (Lima, OH-Frankfort, IN), both from NS’s Ft. Wayne Division. The New Castle Dist. was the ex-LE&W; NKP New Castle Div.-LE&W Dist.; then N&W Muncie Div.-New Castle Dist, and later Ft. Wayne Div.-New Castle Dist. Part of the New Castle Dist. from Muncie, IN south through Richmond to Cinci was part of the ex-PRR/PC Cinci. Div.-Richmond Br., purchased by the N&W from PC. The Frankfort Dist. originally was LE&W; NKP Sandusky Div.-LE&W Dist.; N&W Muncie Div.-Main Line, then Ft. Wayne Div.-Frankfort Dist. and later Ft. Wayne Div., See mixed, locals, coal, and grain trains, NS crane, Triple Crown, NS Hi-railer, mid-train helpers with NS’s remote control car, older EMD and GE units, N&W and SOU cabooses, ROW shots, and more.
